If there was ever such a thing as a "Super Plant"...Samsung Biologics is building the definition of it. CEO John Rim had previously said expansion plans were just getting started...and now the South Korea based CDMO giant continues plans for expansion with a $205Billion investment across its biopharmaceutical, semiconductor, and telecommunications business.
Not only is this a huge investment in facilities...it is a monster investment in
future employment. Samsung is planning to recruit 40,000 new employees over the next couple of years and the company says it could generate as many as 560,000 jobs with future "further investment and production."
Where will they be investing next beyond South Korea???
